Oscar Watch 2026 – Train Dreams
The quiet contemplation of life as seen through the eyes of a logger in 1910s era Oregon. The movie takes a patient and philosophical stroll through the ups and downs of one man’s life, focusing on the loneliness of loss. The movie starts slow and doesn’t pick up much speed, but it does quietly gnaw at your own emotions. Not for those seeking fast-paced adventure or action. The cinematography and setting were serene and calming, the strong/silent main character relatable. Good story, great introspection.
